This hands-on workshop is designed to support agriculture welding teachers in the early stages of their careers. Participants will learn effective methods and teaching strategies specific to metal shop facilities, with a focus on shop management and instructional techniques. Skill development will cover SMAW, GMAW, OAC, and PAC practices, with optional instruction in GTAW, OAW, and other requested areas.
Attendees will receive “The Novice’s Guide to Teaching Ag Welding,” developed by Mr. Callaway, along with curriculum materials and resources tailored for the welding lab. Gain practical insights, refine your skills, and leave prepared to run an efficient and engaging welding program!

Presenter Details
Brandon Callaway has been teaching Agriculture classes at Girard High School for 7 years, after 3 years at Beloit High School. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Education from Kansas State University, and a Master’s Degree in Career and Technical Education from Pittsburg State University.
