In this INTERACTIVE training, CNA instructors will discover practical strategies to bridge the gap between competency-based education and real-world clinical readiness.

Attendees will learn:

  • How to identify and teach the “hidden curriculum” – those unwritten professional skills that separate competent students from confident, career-ready CNAs
  • Concrete methods for developing critical thinking and clinical judgment in students beyond rote skill performance
  • Effective techniques for teaching professional communication, including SBAR reporting, therapeutic communication, and navigating difficult conversations with patients, families, and the healthcare team
  • Strategies for building student resilience and emotional intelligence to handle the physical and psychological demands of clinical practice
  • Simulation and scenario-based activities that prepare students for time pressure, prioritization, and the “messy” realities of patient care
  • Ways to foster professional identity development from day one.

You will leave with practical, classroom-ready strategies and resources to immediately enhance your students’ clinical readiness!
