This one-day workshop will cover the following:
- Learn the skill of phlebotomy as a base for health science education
- Learn techniques for teaching phlebotomy
- Integration for Anatomy, Human Body Systems, Intro to Health Science Lesson plans
- HOSA competitive event information
- Blood borne Pathogen training

Presenter Details

Karen Gunther has been working in the Medical community for the past 35 years in many capacities. First as a Veterinary Technician, KRVT(AVNA) then Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant, Medical Technologist MLS(ASCP) and Secondary science instructor, Medical Lab technology instructor for Barton Community College and is currently the Director for the MLT program and HOSA advisor.
