HANDS-ON IN HEALTH SCIENCE: EXPLORING THE SPORTS MEDICINE COMPETENCIES

Presenter Details

KEVIN STALSBERG is in his eight year of teaching health science and sports medicine for the Shawnee Mission School District. He is certified as an athletic trainer and a teacher. Kevin is President of the Kansas Health Science Instructors Association and strives to provide high quality professional development for teachers though out the state of Kansas.

LAURA BENSCHEIDT, BSN, MSE has been teaching healthcare science for 17 years. Prior to teaching she worked full time in many different capacities as a registered nurse, from labor and delivery, geriatrics, public health, and administration to name a few. Her passion lies in teaching the next generation basic healthcare knowledge.
