Join us for a workshop designed to equip CTE teachers with hands-on skills in the Early Childhood education area.
Attendees will tour through the Dragon Daycare facility, gaining insights into practical lesson activities and witnessing firsthand the impact of the early childhood pathway at Belle Plaine High School.
Workshop Objectives:
1. Provide hands-on experience and practical activities in Early Childhood education.
2. Explore the Dragon Daycare facility to understand real-world teaching environments.
3. Hear from student presenters about their experiences in the Early Childhood pathway at Belle Plaine High
School.
4. Discuss opportunities for dual credit classes and earning certificates before leaving high school.
5. Learn about available trainings, such as KCCTO and CPR, to support student success.
6. Gain insights into the pathway curriculum and topics covered in each class to better prepare students with real-world skills.
Presenter Details
Cassy Dalbom is an educator serving as the Family and Consumer Sciences teacher, FCCLA advisor, and District CTE Coordinator at Belle Plaine High School. With a commitment to empowering students, she played a key role in establishing the Dragon Daycare program, providing invaluable hands-on learning opportunities. Through her leadership, students acquire real-world skills, preparing them for future success. Cassy’s passion for Family and Consumer Sciences extends beyond the classroom as she advocates for the importance of the field in shaping well-rounded individuals.
