This hands-on After Effects workshop is designed for teachers who want to integrate motion design into their students’ workflow. Participants will learn key animation techniques, working with text, graphics, and effects, as well as best practices for classroom implementation.
The session includes guided instruction, hands-on practice, and a structured Teacher Design segment where attendees develop a classroom-ready project. By the end, educators will walk away with practical skills, a completed After Effects project, and a clear strategy for incorporating motion graphics into student learning. Whether you’re new to After Effects or looking to refine your skills, this
workshop will provide the tools and confidence needed to bring motion design into your classroom.
Presenter Details

Charlie Huette is an instructional designer and media educator with 20+ years of experience in teaching, design, and digital storytelling. He has taught media production at the high school and college levels and worked as a Creative Director in web design and marketing. Now at the University of Kansas, he creates digital learning experiences and media for research.
