Cake & Cookie Decorating
**WORKSHOP OPEN TO 18 PARTICIPANTS**
Registration Fee includes supplies and lunch.
Learn the basics of cake and cookie decorating.
Cake Decorating: we will learn how to properly set, crumb, and ice a cake along with learning basic techniques such as borders, writing, florals, balloons, confetti, etc.
Cookie Decorating: we will work with royal icing and cut out cookies and learn how to outline and flood with different consistencies along with different techniques, use of tipless bags, etc.
Benefits of this class: teachers will be able to learn new tips and tricks with cake & cookie decorating for units in Baking & Pastry class and how these skills can be used for various things.
Attendees will be able to go home with the products they make and supplies that they use; along with a set of undecorated cookies for further practice, teachers will also be provided with recipes used in the class.
Anne Cordell has been teaching Family & Consumer Sciences going on two years. This is her first year at Maize Career Academy as The Baking & Pastry teacher.
