September 9 – Introduction to AI in the Classroom

  • In an age where artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly prevalent in various industries, it is essential to equip educators with the knowledge and tools to integrate AI into the classroom effectively. This workshop offers educators a comprehensive introduction to AI concepts and explores innovative ways to incorporate AI technologies into teaching practices with a specific focus on ChatGPT.

September 16 – MagicSchool (2 sessions)

  • Are you seeking innovative ways to captivate your students’ attention and foster deeper learning engagement? Magic School is geared with specific tools to assist teachers in developing unit plans, lesson plans, activities, choice boards, and so much more. These targeted tools benefit every teacher.

September 30 – Bits and Bobbles 

  • Hey there, tech-savvy educators! There are so many tools available and many of the apps we use now have AI tools within them. Join us for an electrifying workshop to explore various tools from multiple sources and see how AI can turbocharge your classroom experience!

October 7 – Presentations using AI

  • In today’s digital age, practical presentation skills are paramount for educators to engage students and deliver impactful lessons. Want to save some time building those presentations without having to spend hours looking for the right graphics and working on animations and transitions? Join us for an immersive workshop tailored for teachers looking to harness the power of Presentations AI to revolutionize their classroom experience.

October 14 – Student AI 

  • Are you ready to embark on an educational journey where technology meets pedagogy? Join us for an immersive workshop on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the classroom to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. In this session, you will be introduced to AI technology that will help students on their educational journeys, as well as a discussion about the appropriate student use of AI in the classroom.

Presenter Details

Angela Yarbrough has been teaching Business/Technology courses at Baxter Springs High School for 20 years. She has a Master Teacher Degree with an emphasis in Business, Technology and Curriculum Design and Instruction.

Becky Qualls has been teaching English and Technology for 27 years. She currently holds a Masters Degree in Educational Technology.
