**Open to first 20 teachers**

  • This hands-on, interactive workshop is designed for Family & Consumer Sciences educators who want to more effectively integrate FCCLA content into their curriculum and elevate their students’ success in STAR Events.
  • Participants will explore practical strategies for incorporating CTSO principles into classroom instruction, aligning projects with STAR Event rubrics, and preparing students for competitive success.
  • Attendees will engage in collaborative work sessions and skill-building stations to leave with ready-to-use resources like project calendars, rubric tools, fundraising templates, and trip planning documents.

Ashley Weber has been teaching Family and Consumer Sciences for 18 years and currently serves as the FCS teacher and FCCLA adviser at Clearwater High School. In addition to her dedication to classroom instruction and student leadership, Ashley has been actively involved in professional organizations and recently completed her term as President of KATFACS.

Gina Bergin is a 16-year veteran Family and Consumer Sciences teacher at Mission Valley High School, where she also advises an active FCCLA chapter. Her program includes four career pathways, providing students with a diverse and comprehensive FCS education. Gina holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Kansas State University and she is a national finalist for Advisor of the year!!

Cassy Dalbom is in her thirteenth year of teaching the Human Services pathway at Belle Plaine High School and she is involved in many professional organizations. She is the FCCLA sponsor and enjoys teaching students real world skills. She received both her bachelor and master degrees from PSU. Go Gorillas!
