WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
This interactive session will allow attendees to see how to incorporate FCCLA programs, competitive events, and national programs into their classrooms.
– Brief description of FCCLA programs and competitive events that can be included in the classroom.
– Examples of how FCCLA programs, competitive events, & STAR events have been successfully implemented in CTC classes.
– Walk through the process of incorporating STAR Events in attendees own classrooms.
Attendees will leave with ideas and a plan on how to incorporate FCCLA programs, competitive events, and or STAR events into their own classroom. They will leave with access to a shared electronic folder with resources.
Presenter Details

Sonora Jones has been teaching Family & Consumer Sciences for the past 8 years, with the last 6 specializing in Culinary Arts for the Carthage R9 school district in Carthage, Missouri. Mrs. Jones holds a BS in Family & Consumer Sciences Education and a MS in Career & Technical Education with an emphasis in Technical Teaching from PSU.
